Super Flat Times
Little, Brown, & Company
2003

Author Matthew Derby’s “Super Flat Times” is a collection of dystopian stories from the not-so-distant future where a functioning everyday life has declined. The physically strong humans have been replaced by the lazy and overweight. Diets are purely carnivorous including fruits and vegetables shaped from meat. Individual personalities are dictated by man-made vapor from razor-sharp seeded clouds.
