Looking for a fresh take on their 1-year old publication, Flatiron News asked Kevin Dresser to take over as art director while still a student at Pratt Institute. A small office of 3 full-time employees, Dresser along with editor and publisher, his role was beyond that of a typical art director. He designed all 96 pages of editorial content and produced several advertisements for each issue. When needed, Dresser also provided illustrations, photographs and once designed the cover art when the publisher was not satisfied with an artist’s last-minute submitted work.
